CARU Containers sells and leases new and used containers. From offices in ten countries, the company serves markets all over the world. To shape the next phase of growth in a targeted manner, CARU wanted to develop a strategic course for the next three to five years, with a focus on further growth and strengthening the operational and organizational foundation.
The challenge
The challenge lay in combining market research with a broad analysis of strategic, operational, and financial themes. The outcomes not only had to be substantively sharp but also practically applicable for management. Speed was also important: CARU wanted to get to work with clear priorities and concrete tools.
Maasdael worked closely with CARU's management. Through short lines of communication, extensive research, and practical analyses, strategic insights were developed and translated into concrete recommendations.
Beyond the deal
The process resulted in a concrete business plan that the management could immediately work with. The plan provided guidance for making strategic choices, setting priorities, and further developing and implementing the course for the coming years. This supported and relieved the management in an important strategic process.
The value of sector knowledge
Within an international trade and logistics market, it is important to base strategic choices on a solid understanding of market developments, operational capabilities, and financial impact. By combining sector insight with a practical advisory approach, Maasdael was able to support CARU in translating ambition into an actionable course for the coming years.
